Recognising
Tomorrow's Leaders.
Empowering education by championing those who shape it.
Every year, FSI awards scholarships to students who show promise, persistence, and a love of learning — as identified by the people who know them best: their school librarians and educators.
Faces behind the scholarship.
Real students from Australian schools, nominated by the educators who believed in them.

More than financial support — it's recognition.
These scholarships aren't just about financial support. They're about recognition — not only for the students, but for the librarians who take the time to nominate them.
When a student receives an FSI scholarship, we also celebrate the library staff who saw their potential and advocated for their future. It's our way of honouring the vital, often unseen role that educators play in shaping lives.
Whether it's for uniforms, textbooks, or study supplies, our scholarships are one more way we give back to the education community that raised us.
FSI exists to empower education
by championing those who shape it.
This scholarship is that mission in action.
And more — every nomination is assessed on its individual circumstances.
“Education is a right,
not a privilege.”
That's why FSI sets aside a fixed percentage of our profits and tithes it back to the education sector — through scholarships that go directly to the students and schools that need it most.
across Australia and New Zealand
We recognise the librarians who make it happen.
School librarians are at the heart of this program. They know their students — really know them. They see potential, notice struggle, and take the time to advocate when a student needs it.
When we award a scholarship, we celebrate not just the student, but the educator who saw something in them and stood up for them. That recognition matters to us — and it matters to them.
Open to every FSI school.
If your school subscribes to SmartSuite Library or TV4Education, your school librarians and educators are eligible to nominate students for consideration.
Librarian Nominates
A librarian or educator at your FSI-subscribed school identifies a student who would benefit.
FSI Reviews
We assess nominations individually — each circumstance is unique and treated with care.
Student Is Recognised
The student receives their scholarship, and the nominating educator is acknowledged alongside them.
Not yet an FSI school? SmartSuite Library and TV4Education are available to K-12 schools across Australia and New Zealand — and every subscription includes access to the scholarship program.
